Unwanted cross-reactivity is a common source of interferences in diagnostic immunoassays. Heterophilic antibodies (antibodies that react with other antigens than its specific antigen), including rheumatic factors or human-anti-mouse-antibodies (HAMA), can be a reason for dissatisfactory results.
ImmunoReagents’ HAMA blocker is a formulation of highly pure immunoglobulins (IgGs) specifically targeted against human anti-species antibodies activity. With these HAMA blocking reagents, false-positive or false-negative results can be reduced thus enhancing the competitiveness and quality of diagnostic immunoassays.
Purified immunoglobulins (Protein A or Protein G) to block heterophilic antibodies are available with different packaging sizes (mg- g). Concentration: 8-12mg/ml.
