Goat Antiserum anti-Mouse IgG+IgM+IgA+IgD (H+L)-unconj., MinX none

The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the heavy chains of immunoglobulin isotypes IgG, IgA, IgM and IgD. The antiserum also contains antibodies to common determinants and to the surface determinants of the common Fab as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. It does not react with any non-Ig proteins in mouse serum. In immunoelectrophoresis and single and double radial immunodiffusion (Mancini, Ouchterlony) to identify the presence of immunoglobulins in mouse serum or other body fluids, to prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of mouse immunoglobulins from serum or plasma, as secondary antibody to precipitate the immunoglobulin in normal mouse serum. This antiserum is not intended for use in non-precipitating antibody-binding or other highly sensitive assays. For such use labelled and unlabelled cytochemical and immunoassay grade reagents meeting the necessary additional specificity and performance requirements are available.

Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized stable whole serum. No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled goat serum. No foreign proteins added. It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water.
