Additional Product Information
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the heavy and light chains of the immunoglobulin isotypes. It does not react with any non-Ig protein in human serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In immunoelectrophoresis and single and double radial immunodiffusion (Mancini, Ouchterlony) to identify the presence of immunoglobulins in human serum or other body fluids, to prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of human immunoglobulins from serum or plasma, as secondary antibody to precipitate the immunoglobulin in normal human serum. This antiserum is not intended for use in non-precipitating antibody-binding or other highly sensitive assays. For such use labelled and unlabelled cytochemical and immunoassay grade reagents meeting the necessary additional specificity and performance requirements are available.
Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized stable whole serum. No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. No foreign protein added. Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled rabbit serum. No foreign proteins added. It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water.
